IntroductionCompany Inductions:
Before a new employee starts a job, he/she must be inducted so that they know what is expected of them while working within the Company. As an employer, you have a duty of care to your staff and you must make sure your workplace is safe. A key aspect of keeping your workplace safe is making sure staff understand your work health and safety policies. You must also make sure they undertake any necessary training before using potentially dangerous equipment or materials. New staff are at greater risk of injuring themselves at work than existing staff. For this reason, work health and safety training should have a high priority in your staff induction program. Work health and safety training must be ongoing to reduce the risk of incidents and keep all staff up to date with your processes.
Toolbox TalksToolbox Talks:
A ‘toolbox talk’ is a short presentation to the workforce in relation to Health and Safety or workplace specific topics. We conduct toolbox talks to save you the time in preparing them yourself. Toolbox meetings are very important to highlight any issues that may be arising. Toolbox meetings must be conducted at regular intervals in the workplace to minimise the chances of near misses or accidents. They are an excellent way to both control and promote Health & Safety.  
Risk AssessmentRisk Assessments / Method Statements (RAMS)
We can visit sites and design specific method statements to include the scope of works, labour & plant, description of works, installation, machinery, technical information, specific hazards, work permits, emergency evacuation, risk assessments and control measures as appropriate to the requirement. We can use your own template, or we can design one that suits your job and Company. We can also deign and induct a nominated person or persons on how the document works. With easy to follow instructions and an induction on to the document, you will be compiling RAMS in no time.  
Safety StatementsSafety Statements:
A Safety Statement is a Company's documented programme for ensuring the Safety, Health and Welfare of employees while at work. Safety Statements are required by law for all organisations and self-employed under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. KSTS will ensure that the Safety Statement will be built around your Company and meets all your needs. We will ensure the Safety Statement is workplace specific.  
Accident InvestigationAccident Investigation:
KSTS provides experienced and independent safety audit teams to undertake accident investigation audits. Audit ChecklistWorkplace Audits:
KSTS Safety Consultants have experience in a wide range of working environments. Our Consultants can perform a one-off work place inspection or a periodic documented workplace inspection e.g. every three or four months. This report can be used to form the basis of management’s plan to help achieve best practice in relation to health and safety management. KSTS Consultants work in partnership with your safety representatives to develop an action plan at a schedule which suits you.  
Fire Safety AuditFire Auditing:
We can call to your premises and undertake a fire safety audit which is usually prearranged, and all fire safety inspectors will be in uniform and carry identification. The audit is an examination of the premises and relevant documents to ascertain how the premises are being managed regarding fire safety. Fire Safety in the workplace is a must. Our highly trained auditors will ensure your premises is safe in relation to fire safety.  
Safety AdvisorSafety Advisor
The primary objective of KSTS is to support your Company, manage and improve your safety management system as a part time Safety Officer and to coordinate and where relevant deliver your safety training in order that your organisation is up to date and conforming to all the relevant safety legislation. Our Safety Advisor support will:
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of your organisational safety statement.
